The meaning of Christmas marred and strangled to death
While each one of us replace Christ with an X The truth wrapped up in so many lies and boxes Just to cover our fear that cradles us like a blanket So scared of responsibility Each year raping our integrity Hide your guilt and your shame You still know you're the one to blame A Saviour born into the world to deny the grave Hide it and deny it, but you're still a slave Because you can only run for so long Once the truth is unmasked you're over and gone All we did wrong, just to make ourselves right in our eyes Still denying Christ as He hangs on a cross for you and I Died and buried, rose and lives forever more Just for you to be washed clean and made pure (Still) So scared to have to pay for all we have done Deny the fact He was ever born, deny the Son Thats what the true meaning of Christmas means to me Just a holiday to cover up and protect all that is empty You can keep your pathetic pity for a dime You're all still the murderers of Christmas time.
