Kevin Nash CONFIRMS he is through with the WWE

As wrestling fans know, Kevin Nash's contract with the WWE expired on December 31st of 2003. The WWE was not sure if they were going to offer Nash another contract since he is so "injury prone." He has been out of action for some months with a neck injury recieved after only a short-lived return to the WWE, and WWE offered Nash a job in the creative rolls, but turned it down since it would take too much time away from his home and family

KevinNash.net, the official site of Kevin Nash, has now confirmed that Nash's contract has ended and he is no longer in WWE.

Nash has also declined the WWE's offer of working within a creative role. He had this to say:

"There are many options in wrestling with other companies and I am also looking into more film and television appearances."

---------------
On another note, Kevin Nash's new movie "The Punisher" is set to come out sometime in April.

That's sad to know that he won't be returning! Nash was cool I enjoyed his matches, but that's the way life goes, time to move on. I wish him all the best with what he decides to do. ROCK ON KEVIN!!!

What's up with you and wrestling?????

Do you like because it's fake, like a sitcom, or do you like it for another reason???

I'm being honest...

I just don't see any fun on it...

"Fake is not a word I like to use, because there's nothing fake about what I do. It's a show, it's a predetermined outcome; we're putting on a television drama, action, comedy, whatever you want to call it- but it's not fake. Fake would be if I was just about to take a body slam, and my stuntman did it. Fake would be if I was going to take a chair shot to the head, and the chair was made of rubber. I'll tell the world that it's a show, but I hate the word fake. It's such an unfair term to us."

Well, Marcos... many people have asked me that, and I really don't have a solid, convincing answer. You see, my dad turned me on to wrestling when I was very young. I grew up with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Legion of Doom, Demolition, Nasty Boys, Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Dusty Rhodes, Texas Tornado, Mr. Perfect, Ravishing Rick Rude, Kamala, Sgt. Slaughter, The Rockers, KoKo B. Ware, Big Boss Man, British Bulldog, Earthquake, and I could go on forever with names, but I found it entertaining and fun to watch. There are worse things I could spend my time doing.

Wrestling is more real than people believe. In addition to Dan's post, people have broken many bones, recieved concussions, and careers have been ended in the ring. Bret Hart can no longer wrestle because of a kick he recieved from Bill Goldberg, Steve Austin has had so many broken bones in his neck that if he has one more, he may have to be confined to a wheelchair. Droz can no longer wrestle because of an injury that caused a spinal cord injury that the only way it could be fixed was to fuse 2 vertibre together, and he has no feeling under his chest, except for some in his hand, and he is in a wheelchair. Now, I'm not saying this to say you're wrong, but just because something is staged and for entertainment purposes, does not make it fake. Kurt Angle won gold in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta Georgia for wrestling before he went to the WWE. Shelton Benjamin and Brock Lesnar (current champion) wrestled together at the University of Minnesota, as well as Scott & Rick Stiener wrestling at the University of Michigan. In a Jenna Jameson porno movie, is she having fake sex in an orgy? Maybe not the best example, but all I can think of right now.

As to why I posted this... I know there are other wrestling fans on here and may be fans of Kevin Nash. I was a fan of his from the first run in the WWF as Diesel, and to hear that he may not wrestle again, and for sure not in the WWE is somewhat of a dissappointment.

WELL SAID, Colin. And that's very true.

I haven't been a wrestling fan for as long as some of you have on here, but I have been for a year, year and a half. My brother (and Jeff Hardy) Got me hooked, I watch wrestling religiously, and I can't see myself not watching it every week. Yeah, yeah, it's scripted, I have heard that SO many times, but that doesn't take away the excitement that WWE brings every week, the events, the storylines, the drama, everything. The superstars develop into their own character so much, and they take you with them, you know what they are like, how they act, how they wrestle. And like Colin said, superstars have suffered broken bones, concussions, I mean every time a superstar is getting into that ring, they are risking their WWE careers, their lives, anything could go wrong in the ring injury wise. You can't say there is nothing athletic that goes on in that ring, they have to train non-stop, to be fit for their match.

I guess the reason I am so into wrestling now is because of the superstars characters, their personality, their wrestling style. And the events that happen every week. Nothing is ever repeated, nothing is ever the same week after week. Always new events, new stories, that's what makes it exciting to watch. Wrestling is my favourite sport/programme, whatever you wish to call it, and I would NOT just be able to stop watching it, or else you miss out on what happens!

Just my there

LOL!

Colin, you made it sound really poetic and epic... But when I said fake is coz I thought organization is the one who picks the winner, just like Medieval Times in FL... I remember I left so pissed coz my knight lost the revenge...
