Same here! I enjoyed the pyro, but I would trade it in a heartbeat for some longer solos from Mark, some improv with Mark and Brett, some Flip solos, or even a cover or two. When I saw Jerry Cantrell in Hartford, he and the lead singer of his touring band, who also played guitar, just broke into the blues guitar improv as part of the encore. It went on for like five minutes, and it totally freakin ROCKED! I was so stoked to get something unexpected like that. Pearl Jam also aren't afraid to do a cover or two, even after more than a decade of touring. I think a little unpredictability in the set list would be awesome. On NYE they played Ode, which I have always wanted to hear live. I had missed their earlier tours and I just about flipped my lid when they did that one. They also did some cool acoustic versions of songs, which was a real treat. Diversity is good!

Me too. I love the acoustic songs and I think diversity is definitely a good thing as well. Although I've got to say I loved the pyro and fireworks at the NYE show. To me it added to the experience. I know, I guess I want it all and I realize that's not usually possible.

I know what you mean. I planned one Far Away trip this last tour and I picked Chicago, after hearing the awesome time at the NYE show, I wish I had picked Philly! It sounded like it was a Dream Concert come true!

The way i see it is that creed should write the same way they've always written.
They always write the songs for themselves and what they enjoy playing. If you write songs and try to make them so you think everyone will like them, you are doomed to failure. You have to write the songs for yourself, and then the fans will pick up on that and enjoy them just as much. It doesn't matter if they put out 11 kick ass songs, if they write just the way they've always written, i'll be happy.

Amen to that Rune. Honest music, music from their hearts. If it's real, it will be good. They've proven they can do that.

high expectations
well i for one would like them to take there time
so they can come up with good songs and the perfect music to go with the lyrics. i just wonder how much pressure the record companies put on the artists to come up with new stuff every year i believe it was a korn interview on vh1 i saw where he said they where pressured to come up with new stuff every year and eventialy it causes burn out and you cant be as creative to come up with excellent stuff. my opinion let htem take there time so everything they write is awsome. yall have a great evening.

Ooops, silly me, thanks, Lech....the point was, though, that they did something different, which I hope Creed does.

Personally, I feel like it will be hard for them to top Human Clay. Not just speaking sales figures either.
Weathered was good-and I realize they may have been trying to prove their diversity-and that's OK, too. It takes talent to be diverse and it takes guts to show diversity. But Human Clay totally rocks. And rock is what CREED does best. I read an interview from somewhere (read so many can't remember where I read it), but Stapp made the comment that he and Mark really liked rockin' and their next CD would be more on the harder side-which will make me one happy rocker..........

Charmin, I have to agree with you on that one. Even though I absolutely love Weathered, there is something about Human Clay that does it for me !! Whatever their new album brings, I will love it. I've become one of those typical fans that will love anything that they put out at this point. You know the type!

I love them too, but the orginal song is best... Like the way Mark <Tremonti Plays with Heavy Distortion.. And stapp is better when i Gives 100% of his voice! But he sound very nice in Example Lullaby, My Own Prsion acoustic.....

so, if you could choose, would you like the next album to be more MOP or more HC ?
