steroid epidurals

Hi i was just wanting to know if anyone has had or knows someone who has
had a Epidural shot in the cervical spine?
I have to go Tomorrow and get one in my cervical spine at c5/6 and am
kinda scared do death .
I have read to many horror stories and some good stories.
cause i sure don't want the doctor to mess up and Paralyze me
its bad enough he hasn't let me go to work since February and if he
lets me go back to work after this shot he will put me on restrictions
and my boss says there is no light duty in your work so that would mean
my fmla is up on the 16th so they would terminate me.
the shot is like a band aid anyway it will not cure the problem just stop
the pain so if i do my heavy duty work would make the problem worse.
doctor said the only surgery would fix it but a Chiropractor said my neck
would never be the same if i had surgery.
gonna have to let the doc know that if i dont go back to work i loose my job
and i will loose my medical insurance and who can afford cobra insurance
if your unemployed and i wont beable to draw unemployment cause he
has me almost disabled saying sedentary work only.plus i'm only 50
to young to draw disability plus that takes years and a friend told me
before you can even apply you have to be without any income for 6
months.it is gonna be hard enough to pay my morgage and bills
thank god my son has a generator.sorry about the ranting but i'm
down to my last straw and so stressed.

Re: steroid epidurals

Yikes, mushroomy2k. I hope everything has worked out and that you are OK. Scary stuff, indeed.
