I think Scott sang it differently because of his throat. Besides that, though, there's no reason to synch it if you're not dancing (of course, I say that having no idea what it must be like to perform at the top of a tower).

I've performed (dancing) in pretty cold weather before...it's really hard to move freely. But, I'm sure they got warmed up after getting into it. You could see Scott was sweating a bit towards the end of the song....oh no, I'm overanalyzing again (heehee). :embarass:

Yes, I can confirm that it was taped since there are LOTS of editing mistakes that nobody would have found just watching it the one time. Several of the shots from above the tower show Scott holding the mic stand and then in the next shot it is down on the ground and scott is just holding the mic (does this several times). Glad they went with taping it over lipsyncing...

I think they should have forgone that top-of-the-tower performance and simply played live inside to all the fans.
