best current vocalist?
won't set up a poll thereby limiting the choices ( and i'll probably stuff it up)
I'll throw up some names that are my current favs ( must be performing and not deceased which may limit it a bit). I have tried to go for those at or somewhere near the peak of their powers not "has-beens". Chris Cornell Eddie Vedder Maynard James Keenan Scott Stapp Myles Kennedy Bruce Springsteen Chris Shinn (Unified Theory) (now split up) Scott Weiland Donald Carpenter |

Scott Stapp, I have always loved his voice and was amazed the first time I saw him. I said, "That voice is coming out of their!!??" I had just pictured him different.
Have to also go with Maynard ( like that's a surprise to anyone!!?? ) <-------- LOOK! Also love Chris Cornell. His voice makes my knees weak and my heart melt. I like Brad Arnold's voice form 3DD and Donald Carpenter's voice from SubmerseD

right on about Stapp you don't picture him as a bit of a "pretty boy" LOL when you hear that big deep voice! Only discovering him quite recently but I am really loving Myle's voice and not simply because he is now part of the Creed family! You can't go wrong with anyone on my list IMO!

I love Scott Stapp's voice. I love the deepness, I love it when it's 'raspy'. My absolute favorite is listening to the songs they've done acoustically. His voice just gives me chills, especially on the acoustic version of Torn.
I like Sammy Hager alot, and Chester from Linkin Park and Sully from Godsmack.

yep Dan from Troy's band is preddy good and Aaron Lewis has to be one of the better voices around. About Axl he was one of the best but honestly he's a "has-been" now and you will see that if you here any of their newer stuff or saw them play at that award show a couple of years back. The way he say must have taken so much out of his voice, not to mention all the alcohohl, smoking and drugs. I can't stand Justin Hawkin's voice personally, drives me up the wall but the music is preddy cool.
