I made my first trip to Milwaukee this summer with two friends. We went to see the Brewers play the Phillies on the night they were celebrating the 1982 AL championship. Nice ballpark. There's not a lot of garish advertising as there is in some of the other ballparks. It was much more understated. We also did the touristy tour of Miller Brewing Co., which was fun. Got some free samples, too...The downtown was pretty nice. We ate at Mader's (sp?) German restaurant. It was quite good.

Downtown is kinda dirty isn't it?
I'm surprised there isn't more advertising in Miller Park... with the amount of money it cost to build......

LOL, I guess dirty is all relative. Where I was it was pretty nice. I live in Philly, where there are some hideous areas...Yeah, I'm surprised there wasn't more advertising at the park, especially in this day and age when everything is up for corporate sponsorship. Can't remember...was that new park funded with taxpayer dollars?

Im assuming you mean the show in Madison since there is no show in Milwaukee?
As for the stadium, I think it was partially funded with taxpayers money. Our sales tax was increased from 5.5% to 5.6% to help pay for the stadium, can't remember if other taxes helped as well
