Buried in a funhouse reflection Tentacles of endless temptation Squeeze her mind into dutiful deception Pangs of hunger feed the smile she wears As she withers away and slowly disappears Protruding beauty validates the stares A stubborn will abates her fears She won’t let the whispers alter her stand It’s not their place to force her hand They don’t understand the high she craves She prays to the god who keeps her a slave Drink of the cup Eat from the trough Of the facades that hide The dying inside
