I have been on the other side of that money trail and I still would want it less commercialized. It's about people and giving of one's self and of celebrating the birth of Jesus, not so much about the material things. I know people get joy out of giving gifts, including me, but there is so much pressure to outdo each other and outspend each other. It's never-ending. And the advertising is insane, as if having this one more thing will bring you happiness. I just get discouraged, especially when I know there are people who don't have enough to eat, or a roof over their heads, or someone to spend the holidays with. It depresses the hell out of me.

I raised my kiddies,,, That the price of a gift don't matter, "That as long as it comes from da heart".. no matter if it comes from the dollar store n only cost a single dollar, it's beautiful... that's whah's makes it special!!!!:P

That's right, A2S. My parents have saved all the cards my brothers and sisters and I made for them over the years. It's sweet to make something for someone.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that he is also a very good artist, n loves drawing things for me for gifts, when he doesn't have any money... as does Mercedes...
