my poem

I wrote this ode for school last year, and I was bored, even though I think it was dumb, everyone liked it...


Deserted Hall

My footsteps echo as I walk down this hall
Hundreds of times I have walked here
But now it looks unfamiliar
Eerie as it is memory filled

It is silent here
The echoing laughter that seems so familiar
Is dead for now
But to me it will ring here eternally

Outside the night is as black as the ink stained walls
The moon creates shadows on the lawn
That are barley visible
Through the window’s glare

I’ve never seen a place so bright in the day,
Yet so dark and lonely at night
The memories echoing here are all I know
It’s so hard to face this place that was once a second home

that was very fun to read through well written it is silent here the echoing laughter that seems so familiar for is now dead but to me it will ring Eternally .... i finding it haunting in such a beautiful way. its always nice to read from newer writers here at that feed that was really good keeping coming

Very haunting indeed...as well as visual...one can picture and feel the environment...
And like cs said...never throw anything away...never know when little fragments here and there can add up to a bigger piece of work...enjoyed reading that...
