Interesting

Taken from MTV News in regards to the recent Lalapalooza tour:

Seems like Living Things singer Lillian Berlin might have changed his tune a bit since his anti-American onstage banter got him in trouble with Alter Bridge last month. During a bluesy take on their anti-war tune "Bombs Below," he yells "All hail the U.S. military!," and then he jumps off the stage into the audience and grabs a Navy seaman from the pit and throws his arms around him. A short time later, during "Bom Bom Bom," he shouts "We love America!" and, later still, "We salute our brothers and sisters in Iraq." OK, we get it. He also leads the crowd in a chant of "Peace! Peace!" Now that's more like it. ...

LT = Hypocrites

Re: Interesting

Yet another person afraid to speak his mind in what is an increasingly hostile environment for dissidence in the United States. We might as well be Mother Russia. *sigh*

Hypocrites indeed. That is really sad.

Re: Interesting

How is this Alter Bridge-related? Move this to the political forum.

Re: Interesting

2 reasons:

1) LT opened for AB in Europe, a fight ensued between LT and AB's crew due to LT's anti-American banter.

2) AB is mentioned in the story.

1) I know all too well about the non-news story about what happened between Alter Bridge and this band.

2) They're mentioned in passing once, in this little paragraph. It has no business being in this forum. If it doesn't have to do with the second album or a new tour, I don't think it should be here.
