Passion breeds followers......

Is it just me or is that message board almost cultish?

I like AB, but i am not going to follow and talk about them if they were some kind of god like that messageboard does.....And did you ever notice their use of smileys were pictures of stapp...weird....Anybody notice the same thing?

(I didn't know where to put this)

Just because it's a positive site and is for Stapp fans, doesn't make it cultish. It's refreshing to have a place where bashing and rude comments aren't allowed. There is too much of that everywhere else. Have you seen some of the emoticons at the pit? If you don't like the site, you don't have to go there.

And maybe you don't treat AB like Gods, but some others do. It's all a matter of one's taste and personality. I like the site myself.

It's a really good fansite, with lots of downloads, and a clean messboard, but the people who posts on the messboard are a bit too much to handle sometimes. I'm not complaining at all, but for those who post there we all know the story why I left the board!!

For the enitre half hour they allowed me to be a member, I must say what I saw just in terms of layout and design was really impressive. Graphically, it's a beautiful site.

All private boards are moderated somewhat. Even here, if someone gets out of hand, or blatently attacks someone, they would be warned or banned, or at the very least, their post deleted. It's no different. They just want to keep it a fun, happy place...there is enough negativity at other sites.....

That is the way they run their board. Please don't disrespect fellow fan sites on here though. I may not like BOARD X but because they put forth the effort to make the site and the community, give them respect for that

Also everyone runs their forums differently. CreedPit and ABB.net allow huge images in peoples' signatures which I hate. I don't allow that here. We all have differences in what we like or don't like!

Agreed, its a good site.......But still thats not what i am saying........It just seems like if you disagree with them you're going to get flamed hardcore. Atleast on this site in the Scott stapp forum there is some kind of open mindness. See what i am saying? When i say cultish i don't mean an actual cult i just say that to exagerate a point. But to illustrate my point.....http://passionbreedsfollowers.com/bb...0&page=2&pp=10

I have NEVER seen the use of pictures of anybody on a fan site like that.......its like.....we know what scott looks like we don't need to see him hundreds of times.

This is an just an oberservation, I am not trying to say that passionbreeds followers is a bad site, i guess i just don't like the way they run the board.

Alot of fan sites allow banners with pics....so does the Pit. I belong to some other bands boards, and some of them do also. I agree with Steve though, I don't like the banners. For people on dial-up, it takes too long to load the thread. Some sites have limits to the size you can use but it still adds to the time to open it. I also agree its a matter of taste...each site is different.

Okay I'm new (been lurking for a long time) here but I'm somewhat confused. If you don't like what a board has or what the members post, why do you go there?

...believe you are a bit off center there...no one flames anyone hardcore..that is something the people that post there DON'T do...people do have differences of opinion but it is kept respectable at all times, and makes the discussions interesting...have you attempted to make a post there with an opinion you'd like to discuss?...or are you just going by what you THINK goes on there?

everyone gravitates to a place where they feel comfortable...to each their own.

I love PBF personally. I agree with Ann Allusion the people there are very nice and you are can disagree. I have read many threads that disagree with each other but they respect each other viewpoints without bashing. I have even read threads were they may disagree with Stapp but the difference they don't bash him.

If you don't like the way they run the board, then why would you want to go there, and why in hell, would you bring your complaints about another board...here??
