Wow Sheila it looks so good. It is amazing how someone can do such good work. Especially on something as difficult as the Crest. I love it. It makes me want mine more then ever now.
Jen, did you decide against yours?

Yeah, I've wanted one for a few years myself and it just seemed like the perfect time to get one when we were in FL and it was a big birthday for me too like it will be for you when you're 18!!

Thanks, Carrie. The guy did a great job so all the compliments on it really belong to him. I think his name was George. I'm really happy with it and I'm so glad I had it done.

That's a cool tat. Looks like its on your ankle. Green and black are my favorite colors together too. I want to get a creed tat someday. My parents would kill me if they ever knew I had a tattoo. They thingk they're evil for some reason.

You're right, Hayley, to me it was worth any discomfort. Thanks for the compliment, Colin. Yes, it's a little bit above my left ankle. I didn't want to have it too far down because than it would be close to the bone area and I'm sure that would've hurt! Plus I got it on the inside of my leg vs. the outside because, selfishly, I wanted to be able to see it. Why have a tattoo if you can't see it yourself when you want to, right? Just my opinion, anyway. Although I'd love to have one on my back too. I know what you mean when you talk about your parents. Although I'm an adult, my parents are pretty conservative so I wasn't sure what their reaction was going to be when I came back from the trip with a tattoo!:P I'm also the only member of my family to have a tat although one of my sisters has talked about getting one too. When I saw my parents after I got home, I told them I had a "permanent gift" from my trip!! Neither one of them said anything - good or bad, LOL!! A week or two later, when my mom and I were talking and the subject came up, she called me a "wild woman"! Jen, the crest would look so great on your back or shoulder. I hope everything works out okay with your back so you can have it done.

Just out of curiosity, I've wanted to ask other people, but never have... Do getting tattoos hurt? I know it's a needle poking you about 80 MPH (or so I've heard), but how badly does it hurt? I want some tattoos but I'm not sure about how much pain I want to put myself through.

Higher Desire...It's more like discomfort than pain. It doesn't really hurt, but it also depends on where you get it. I got mine on my upper arm, where there is plenty of flesh. If there isn't, I've heard it can be more painful. I want to get my next one on my lower back and there isn't so much flesh there, so I expect it will hurt more, but I think it'll be OK. I was so stoked to get my first one, that I literally felt no pain, LOL. Later, it was tender, like a bad sunburn, but that's the only real pain I felt. It was well worth it. I love my tat.
