The Awakening

I remember the awakening
the way the sun greeted me to this world
a mothers smile
nothing to fear
the darkness so far away

how can the tides change
they ripped me from the embrace of this world
and now I'm just frozen
knowing my heart is doomed
to a lonely place

did I always feel this tragedy
the way you erase my dreams
when I'm down on my knees
lock me up with the lost ones
for being too holy

never there was a place
where I could save my soul
I guess they always wanted a virgin soul
to wander the darkpath
as sacrifise to them all

I looked into his eyes
to recognize paradise
but the poison snake
just waited there
to poison me forevermore

every second I remember
your words that gave me hope
never will my heart understand
how you could turn into a wolf
so love had to fail me after all
