Welcome Emelie!!!!!! One of my favorite lyrically speaking songs is "What if" I love so many songs of Creed that I have a different favorite all the time depending on my mood. BUT What if really gets me, I live it!

My favorite song is Higher, but I also really like Say I, Inside Us All, To Whom It May Concern, Signs, Don't Stop Dancing, What's This Life for, My Own Prison, One, and pretty much all of Creed's songs lyrically. It's one of the main reasons I like them so much.
I also really like Nirvana. Kurt has written songs that have pure poetry in them, yet the music they put them to may make some people change their minds. H-D

Welcome to CreedFeed, emelie. I hope you enjoy yourself here. As for the best lyrics, it's hard for me to pin down one song. Like Colin (Higher_Desire) said, one of the reasons why I was so drawn to Creed in the first place was because of the lyrics. A few of my favorties are What If, Higher, Faceless Man, Hide and Stand Here With Me.

Our Lady Peace - Noy Enough
I am sooooooooo obsessed with this song, its not even funny. hopefully that will come to a climax when i see them in a month. There’s nothing left to prove There's nothing I won’t do There’s nothing like the pain I feel for you Nothing left to hide Nothing left to fear 'Cause I am always here And when they say You’re not that strong You’re not that weak It's not your fault And when you climb up to your hill Up to your place I hope you’re well What you need What you had What is gone What is had is over And what you love And what you know And what you had And what I bring is real

Well, I have a lot of favorites, LOL...Some of the top ones:
Eddie Vedder, Jerry Cantrell, Kurt Cobain... Vedder's storytelling is amazing. When I listen to PJ, the songs always create images in my mind. I can picture the people he's singing about. Great scene setter as well. Cantrell is just raw, on-your-sleeve emotion but in a non-linear way. Some of his songs have brought me to tears. Cobain just had a way to draw me in with some of the images he created. Some of them were so out there, too. Wild stuff. With all of these guys, it was more than the words. There is something in each of their voices that has the ability to make me feel and relate in some way. It's just honest music.

I would have to say Creeds lyrics and Reese Ropers(Five Iron Frenzy) lyrics. Oh and Demon Hunter and The Agony Scene have really awesome lyrics too.

I have a lot of favorite Creed songs as well, like Jen said, it changes day to day because I love all of them so much. I cannot say that Stapp or Tremonti is better then the other because I think they work great together. One of my favorite songs lyricly would have to be Facesless Man, but again, it's real hard to pick just one.
