LMAO, I know what you mean. That goes to show, how stupid they are being. "I didn't file the suit because it was cold."

Up hill both ways Carrie, for miles and miles in knee-high snow with nothing to wear but a coat from last year's Goodwill sale. 'Cus that's what we folks here in WEESCONSIN and Illinois do.

I was thinking last night..... perhaps they waited this long to file because they wanted it to be a surprise. If they had done it in January, the guys might have expected it. It's quite a surprise now, and maybe that's how they planned it.

Actually, I wonder if it wasn't in the works for a while, and with lawyers and fees, legalities, it just took this long to actually "file" the claim.

It shouldn't have taken that long. The legal process only crawls like a turtle AFTER something's been filed - when the Courts get involved. People tend to blame lawyers for stalling and holding up the process, but you wouldn't believe how much the Courts drag!

I hope it crawls so slow that Scott looks like the old man that plays him in My Sacrifice!!

And by then, everyone will have forgotten what the fuss was about, and they'll drop it.

It's also possible that if it isn't taken care of by November, when it gets cold in Chicago, they will put it off till it is warm.

Here are the court documents.

It shows it was just filed on April 20, 2003

It also shows that the 2 couples are suing for a mere 270.00.

Check it out.

I wish we had something like Court TV. I'd watch it all day.

By the way, has anyone noticed that 15,000 people, times $56.75 (per ticket) equals only $851,250??? And NOT $2,000,000????

It also includes ticket service fees and parking and baby-sitting and all of that, according to the article I read, so maybe it comes to $2 million after all that, though I'm not that proficient in math .

I think it is completely retarded. I also hate that they are digging down to pull up every frowned upon thing that Scott has done in that CoutTV article. I mean, why not focus on the good things like The With Arms Wide Open foundation. He has done so much for so many and I don't frown upon anything that he has done. He is human.
