homework on creed

okay guys... its time for creative writing class!!! i get to analyze 3 songs of my choice, 1 of which i chose Weathered... now what do u guys think this song is about? (no no no, im not asking u to do my homework for me... im already almost done with the assignment)

Well, my take on it is this...

I heard Scott Stapp say on an interview of something that when they were tired, they would say "Ah man, I'm really weathered." He also said something about how they would say that during touring and stuff. So the song could be about that. I think it could also be about just being tired from life in general, and how all the crap people have to put up with can really tear you down physically and emotionally. It could be something along those lines... maybe?

I remember Scott saying they titled the CD that because after the HC tour, they were "weathered". The band had gone non-stop since MOP and they were tired.

I think the lyrics to Weathered are very heartfelt (just like all of Scott's lyrics). The ironic thing, they probably applied more to Scott after the Weathered tour then they did before.
