Am I the only one?

I've got 3000 songs on my iPod, and there are days where I can't find anything to listen to! It's like having satellite TV, and not finding anything worth watching. It's depressing! I have more music than ever before, but I don't appreciate it as much as I used to. Tell me I'm the only one.

Hmm, well, maybe you need more variety in your music or something. I listen to a lot of different types, so that keeps things fresh. Or, it could be that you've outgrown what you used to love. It happens sometimes.

Re: Am I the only one?

i have faced this situation too.... and some how i am still facing it...but Lady Dogstar is right..... i had to shift my focus to totally different bands... the mix of songs that i was upto wasnt really working ......so i just had to jot down some new bands...and well, things are working fine at the moment... i.e with the new mix that i have got... ... but yes... now that i have a pile of CDs touching the roof...i am so miserable in selecting anything from it....and when i do..it just doest work....

Re: Am I the only one?

I'm currently experiencing this... I've got gigs and gigs of music on my computer but and getting tired of listening to most of it. Unfortunately I've tried branching out but I really just don't like most other genres of music... if it's not rock I don't care for it and I'm growing tired of my rock collection Can't wait for the new AB cd to come out!

If you have a decent internet connection, go the PODCASTS! That'll keep ya amused! I have been totally boored with the immense amount of music on my ipod as well, so I'm downloading Axis Of Justice podcasts amidst others that cater to my interests and its bloody cool!

Re: Am I the only one?

just put it on random/shuffle/whatever it's called.... I've found it tedious to keep my 40-gig Creative player up-to-date w/ my music collection & current tastes, but I usu. update it whenever I go on trips lasting a week or so....

Re: Am I the only one?

Shuffle is my best friend. I like to be surprised by my own music collection.

I'd definitely say...Internet radio. Sites like www.pandora.com let you create customized radio stations. You plug in what you like, and it feeds you that and similar artists. I've found a couple of new bands I'd like to check out thanks to that system.

Outgrowing music happens quite a bit to me...I hate it.
