Haven’t found my fun today
Scrounging for some green to play
Disappointed eyes turn gray
Just another day to stray

Mirror, mirror shatter please
Reflection of an old disease
Disappointed eyes appease
Just another fruitless tease

Haven’t made my daily pledge
Art perfected on the edge
Disappointed eyes they hedge
Just another driving wedge

Pull the plug on bended knee
Someone hide it far from me
Disappointed eyes must see
Just another pointless plea

Haven’t moved to change my ways
Idle through a morning haze
Disappointed eyes do glaze
Just another rainy daze

Broken down forever need
Hounded by a hollow creed
Disappointed eyes they bleed
Just another soul to seed

hey another good peice but i want to set you a challenge whether you take it is up to you. You write great introspective and dark lyrics much like Staley did but how bout the challenge that I'll take as a double dare. You've got to try to write something more airy fairy such as "girls girls girls" and see how it turns out. This will be hilarious! LOL

LMFAO @ *girls, girls, girls*...in my case it would have to *guys, guys, guys*....lol...maybe like AC/DC's Big Balls or something

...I don't know, if I try to force it, it probably would suck, LOL...But, hey, I'll give it a shot at some point!

yeah its not natural for me either but when i'm in a really good mood i'll do it and post it just for a bit of fun. LOL

I know what you mean man when ya gotta be in the right mood. I've tried to write poems in the wrong mood, they suck! I throw them in the trashcan out of embarrasment. (Note that I don't show them to anyone either!) I don't write when I'm not in the mood anymore! LOL If I did, I'd keep the trash industry going well! Usually to actually write one that's ok I have to stay up until the wee hours in the morning when I'm tired, and too stupid to judge what I'm writing! I might post one I did a few night's/mornings whatever ago. Never know 'bout me!

Just pour it out whatever way it comes. Some of us cant write positive stuff. I never have been able to, but I think that's the way God wired me up cos the stuff I write helps people that just cant be positive and are looking for a reason to hang onto their faith. U cant fight who U R, but an acca dacca, airy-fairy, big-balls sonnet would still be a fun challenge...

Hey, perhaps like the name games, we could do a poem game! first line makes a statement, next post has to make it rhyme, repeat!

Anyways, blah blah...What I planned to say was, another stroke of genius Dogstar!
