OMG! I actually got a 3 mile walk in today before it rained It was my first walk sincelike Saturday to:embarass: Stupid Rain!

I'm off to workout myself tomorrow although I know it's going to be tough because I have to be up at 4:30 am tomorrow to get to work a little earlier than usual. You guys might need to give my butt a little push to get there tomorrow, LOL!!:P

Yeah, I know what you mean, Julbright. I've struggled with my weight most of my life. You're right about making excuses but there are times, like when you're sick, you do the best you can. I know it's a really fine line and it's something I struggle with as well. It's sooooo easy for me to justify stuff, LOL. Although it's really slow, I do see some small changes in my eating. Especially in the amount of food I eat at one time. I used to binge quite a bit. If there was an open bag of chips, chocolate anything I really liked, it didn't last long. Now, I'm able to stop when I'm satisfied and I don't eat nearly as much. At the same time, I know I still need to work on making healthier food choices and taking the time it takes to prepare healthier meals. It is hard to make changes. I've been comforting myself with food for a long time. Believe me, I'd love to snap my fingers and be healthy but I know that's not going to happen but I do feel more positive about this whole issue. I've noticed that since I've started working out, I'm beginning to look forward to going rather than dreading it. I don't know if this helps you at all, Julbright, but I figured I'd share some of my thoughts and struggles so you know that you're not alone. I have confidence that we WILL succeed!!

That is great Sheila!! I myself can't WAIT to get back to the gym tomorrow. Jenn gets on her schoolbus at 9 and I'm back at my step class at 9:30 and I really am looking forward to getting back to the gym and back into my size 10 jeans (which I haven't seen since last November!!).

That is wonderful Sheila I am proud of you as well girl! I still need to work on eating healthier again Since I've been down and sad lately I've been snacking a little more on stuff that isn't healthy and havn't been motivated to even go on my walks But since yesterday I started back on my walking and I've walked 16 miles in the past 2 days I've noticed that the walking isn't doing it for me like it was when I started, I really wish we could get a membership to a gym somewhere

Woooo Hoooo, I just got back from step class at the gym. I am so glad to finally be able to get back into the swing of things. I'm going to take the Pilates class on Saturday and hopefully I won't injure my hamstring like I did last time.

Thank you so much, everybody. I appreciate your support more than I can say. I still have my moments where I struggle but I am noticing some changes and that's movtivating me to do more. Some progress is better than no progress.

I'm happy to hear that you got to the gym this morning, Teri!! You'll be back in those jeans before you know it!!!

You guys rock! That is so great, Teri, and Sheila, you're so right...some progress is better than none. It's progress! Small steps lead to more steps, so keep it up, girl.

I have to get back into walking. I have been using the weather as an excuse, hehehe. It's so depressing when it's cloudy and rainy, UGH. Makes me want to stay in bed all day, LOL. I'm doing well with the eating, but I need to get back in shape big time.
