is the rarities cd you're talking about legit?? or did you just compile a bunch of things floating around on the internet and burn it off yourself??

I don't think it's legit, but it's got a cover and stuff, I've bought it so...

It's a "bootleg" - I've seen two kinds of copies of the Rarities cd floating around, one that has a barcode and one that doesn't. Both are not official "legit" copies. The barcode one was probably produced by someone or some company overseas and made to look real to sell more copies. The other is just a fan-made copy. They both have the same stuff on it though. It's all songs you can find on any P2P file-sharing program.

when we're talking "rarities & B-sides" here, what songs are we talking about?
is it stuff we've all likely heard, such as Is This The End? or are there supposed to be a bunch of un-released songs, such as Nothing, that never made it anywhere?

It's songs we've already heard. Here is one of the common tracklists of the rarities albums floating around:
01. Higher (Acoustic).mp3 02. With Arms Wide Open (Acoustic).mp3 03. Is This The End (Acoustic).mp3 04. My Own Prison (Acoustic).mp3 05. One (Acoustic).mp3 06. Torn (Acoustic).mp3 07. What's This Life For (Acoustic).mp3 08. One (Live On Letterman).mp3 09. Higher (Live On Letterman).mp3 10. With Arms Wide Open (Instrumental).mp3 11. To Whom It May Concern.mp3 12. Is This The End.mp3 13. Bound & Tied.mp3 14. I'm Eighteen.mp3 15. Into The Grain.mp3 (This isn't Creed so you're not missing anything) I've found one other rarities cd which has: 1. With arms wide open (Acoustic Version) 2. What's This Life For (Acoustic Version) 3. My Own Prison (Acoustic version) 4. Torn (Live At The House Of Blues 1999) 5. Roadhouse Blues (Live At Woodstock '99) 6. Riders On The Storm (Doors Tribute Cd "Stoned Immaculate") 7. To Whom It May Concern (O.S.T. The Scorpion King) 8. Is This The End (O.S.T. Scream 3) 9. Are there actually recorded unreleased Creed songs that WU possess?
If so,..wouldn't they stand to make a profit off it? Whats in the way?

Re: Rarities & b-sides
Don't know, but I belvie that both Mark and Stapp have the final word about that, I mean it's their songs... Don't know how their contract with WU lookes like though...

Re: Rarities & b-sides
Yeah, but Mark's the on who does the melody of the song and most of the song writing and Stapp did some song writing... so I figuered they're the ones with the contract over the music... but I have no idea of how the biss works! so... :P

Re: Rarities & b-sides
Oh sure, tones of them! They have enough to make a double-CD on only unreleased tracks, that's what Michael told the fans about a year ago. (If I remember correctly). But Mark and Flip doesn't want to release that just yet, they'd like to wait a few years, and then release a nice Christmas gift for everyone. What stands in the way is that the songs would compete with AB and Stapp on the radio, and the album would compete with ODR and TGD on the "Best Selling Album"-lists, (such as Billboard).

Re: Rarities & b-sides
That's something I've been wondering a lot as well. A b-side album isn't much use to us die-hard fans who went out and scoured the internet and music stores to compile our own b-side collection. |

Re: Rarities & b-sides
Actually, most of the internet stuff is not good quality. It's compressed mp3 files. I'd much rather have full quality versions on one individual cd.

Re: Rarities & b-sides
I dunno, some of the stuff I've found isn't that low in sound quality. I'd just like to see some things on a b-sides collection that was previously impossible to find as opposed to just "unreleased." |
