Ten has some killer songs it is a classic album but in retrospect the production is lacking. Rick Parashir the producer hasen't really done much since. He worked with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden (I think) and Pearl Jam with Ten but since then hasen't done much at all.

You know what's weird...Pearl Jam's booklets...I mean come on, some of the songs only have a few words in them. Why don't they put the whole song in their booklets? Beats me, it's weird

hey i agree for sure maybe its part of Ed's punk ethos, because once you listen to the songs and check out the lyrics on the net and so forth you find out what a great poet he is. The Vitalogy booklet is cool, funny seeing these outdated medical ideas that really have more to do with morality even if they are good rules to live by.

Yeah the booklets art wise are awesome they have some great pictures but I think it's pretty weird how they don't put all of the words in. Maybe your right, maybe it's something personal or they were just lazy. J/k.
In Yeild, for "In Hiding" it's got: - four days with nothing. emerge empowered... "the first human face you see will knock you back 50%" That's awesome

thats cool i think the best pj lyric is the one i've got at the bottom simply awesome but there are heaps of other good ones such as: "Caught a bolt of lightning, cursed the day he let it go" "I've got scratches all over my arms, one for each day since i fell apart" and the list goes on!

I don't know if those were lyrics, it's the page that In Hiding is on but I'm not sure. Can't really make it out in the song I need to print the lyrics out on my computer.
Pearl Jam are amazing, Vedder is a brilliant song writer, his lyrics are so pure and true, I'm glad I got into Pearl Jam.

You're right, Hayley, Vedder is a brilliant writer. That man knows how to tell a story, huh? I'm glad you got into them, too.

Yeah it started out when Faceless Kiwi made me a compliation of some of their best songs, well most popular songs, and I was hooked straight away. Now I am on my way to buying more of their albums.
Hell yeah Vedder knows how to tell a story. His style is very unique, different than any other songwriter I know, and I love it, I love everything about the way Vedder writes, the way he keeps you intruged and wanting more. I LOVE PEARL JAM!!!

I won't, believe me! Pearl Jam have been to New Zealand before, I'm not exactly sure where, but they came here.
There is actually a Pearl Jam concert on this Friday night, from Madison Square Gardens, I am SO going to watch it. CAN'T WAIT!!!! How's Vedder with the crowd, good interaction?

OMG, I just bought that DVD..the one from the Riot Act tour, yes? GREAT SHOW!!! Tape it if you can! I've only been to one show, but Eddie does some chatting with crowd, yes. There isn't a rail, though, and no pit. They had a concert overseas in which nine fans were killed a few years ago, so they only put seats on the floor. Nobody sits, though, hehehe. It's awesome. He also likes to drink wine and smoke a few cigs during the show. In all the bootlegs I have, he does chat to the crowd.

I'm not sure if it was from the Riot Act tour, wasn't very specific in the TV magazine that I found it in, it was just listed: "Pearl Jam: Madison Square Garden" But it could be, I'll tell you if it is. I will defenitly be taping the concert, going to add once again to my music tapes!
Gosh fans being killed at a concert Crazy stuff. Yeah I can't imagine anyone sitting down at a full-on rock concert lol he smokes and drinks on stage, that's pretty funny. Good on Vedder, lol.

for those that don't realise this you can buy just about any PJ bootleg from the past 2 tours online or in stores. The boots realeased into stores are some of the best including MSG 1,2 and 3, Boston 1,2 and 3, State College and so on. Vedder is a great storyteller, along the same vein as his idol Pete Townsend (The Who). He did some crazy stuff in his younger days such as climbing massive fences and so on but he's nearly 40 and safety is of course now such a big concern.
The energy is still great though and there is always plenty of crowd interaction. If your only going to get one boot I would recommend Madison Square Garden on the 9th which is MSG 2. The setlist is great, Eddie is in a great mood and he goes through all the signs held up by the fans.
