It's a Native American chant. Scott comes from a Native American background. Does that help?

I read somewhere it was a Cherokee Indian from NC where Scott lived awhile as a child, I know his grand parents are cherokee, he definatley has that dark serious native vibe to him!!!

It is on his mother's side. Scott's got 2 sisters, one Amanda who is his sister and Aimee is his half sister, her dad has blue eyes. Dr. Stapp is Scott's adoptive father! That's the scoop. Amanda looks a lot like Scott if you see pictures, all though she has dark blonde hair.

According to the Rolling Stone article of last winter, Scott's bio. father left them all when Scott was very very young, Scott barely remembered him, but has since met him. It's not a strong relationship by any means but that's where the Cherokee part comes from. Dr. Stapp married Scott's mother when Scott was young and raised him as his own.

Somewhere Scott said that it is not words and can't be translated. The chanting is more about conveying moods and feelings I think.

The Cherokee Indian chanting at the beginning is a rather famous guy called Bo Taylor.

I read that same thing Stapp said. He said it's like a tribal chant to a god or something or other.
