connecting a laptop to my amp

I just plugged my laptop to my guitar amplifier (an ordinary one) 'cause my speakers don't work.

Can it be bad to the amplifier somehow, you know like plugging a bass guitar to it?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
