Greedy for Love.

To freedom she rode,
Though her heart swayed with reluctance
A hundred leagues she fled,
Her white horse beamed with envious exuberance
A perilous escape,
Though the doom is inevitable they say
The guilt of murder will catch her someday, the guilt of murder forever it would stay.

Nevertheless she wandered along,
Her mind and body to the limits she drew them on
Her beauty radiated of worth unknown,
Scarred and stained by her victim now, gone.
In the clutches of the evil white witch
The evilness only rested when her pained body twitched
In her cell of enduring cruelty her plan unscrewed,
While in the witch’s castle chambers devilry brewed

Generously hate poured piercing like daggers,
She searched and tore through all realms for answers
Frustration overcame from tireless seeking,
And yet no answer to keep her from grieving.
It was the greedy heart for love that drove her
After eighteen springs t’was the endless despair that forced her.
Hewed and slashed she fought for her life
A life she lived imprisoned through hate and strife

Soon she found the witch pinned to the floor
She screamed, “Mama I am sorry” weeping bitterly “but I can bear it no more!!”
Even as she plunged the bloodied harpoon into the black heart
The witch laughed, while love played no part
Was there none to rescue her from memories of torture?
“Lend me some love, my weak heart to nurture!”
Her deed was done, though the doom is inevitable, they say
The guilt of murder will catch her someday, the guilt of murder forever it would stay………
