When ships dock
The sea kisses the shore
With one more kiss
From times before
Reminds us of forever
That time is only fleeting
What was always meant to be
Awakened by a kiss’s greeting
Simple as a word of hope
This whisper on a page
Does it matter where or when…
How or at what age
Ne’er shouted from a mountain top
But seen in a knowing smile…
A flicker of a mem’ry
That’s stayed longer than a while…
