In memory and with honor...

The means by which we live have outdistanced the ends for which we live. Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power.
We have guided missiles and misguided men.

Now let me say that the next thing we must be concerned about if we are to have peace on earth and good will toward men is the nonviolent affirmation of the sacredness of all human life.
Every man is somebody because he is a child of God.

The ultimate measure of a person is not where one stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where one stands in times of challenge and controversy.
