Ah-Ha! The old Ringo Starr complex. Well, you're wrong that record companies don't buy lyrics. Hell, where do you think pop bands get their stuff? You didn't really think they wrote it themselves??? Most of them didn't. There's a huge market for country lyrics too, which is really just a twangy version of rock now-a-days anyway. You should look into it. I know that there is one book in particular called, the Writer's Market for songwriters. Anyway, it doesn't really matter what you do with it, as long as you enjoyed creating it, right? And I certainly enjoyed reading it. Keep it up!

ah thanks but where would one go to put forward their lyrics? i know the songwriting business is VERY competitive and i thought they wanted complete songs not just lyrics? i can't imagine britney singing Every table you've sat at
