I honestly think Eddie was talking about those who follow a creed, and are specifically diseased for following that creed. It may have nothing to do with the band Creed. Eddie usually goes a lot deeper than petty things like a band or singer sounding like him.
For the record.....Scott Stapp sounds nothing like Eddie Vedder. I have only herd that argument from people who know nothing about music. Maybe only listened to the song once a made a judgment based upon what they might have herd other people say. They said the same thing about Scott Weiland after Core came out. Yes, he had some similar vocal styling, but overall, the sound and lyrical content sound nothing alike. People need to clean their ears out or actually listen to the music to know what they are talking about!
