Pearl Jam has done some nice covers over the years, and they mix it up, which keeps their concerts unique and fresh. I love PJ's version of Neil Young's Fuckin' Up. It's really, really good. APC also did a cool cover of a lesser known band's song on their second album...The Nurse Who Loved Me, by Failure. It's a cool version, too.

you don't want a band to become a cover band but i think a cover here and there spices things up and keeps things fresh. And its even better for a new group such as this that will have a fairly limited number of songs availiable to them. Besides i'm sure they would put their own spin on these songs and perhaps even "own" that song.
