Scroll to the very bottom of the screen and you should see a dropdown box on the lefthand side. In it is a list of different "Skins" for the forums. Select the Alter Bridge Rocks or CreedFeed Skin (the CreedFeed one that's at the very bottom of the list, not the one towards the top).
I'll be forcing everyone to use one of those two skins shortly. Smilies work there.
