Have any of you read this book or other readings from M. James Sawyer, Ph.D. Professor of Theology & Church History @ Western Seminary San Jose, CA. I’m very interested in what people here might have to say about Dr. Sawyer. [http://www.westernseminary.edu/Facul...es/sawyer.html ]

Here is a google search for him: http://www.google.com/search?hs=akc&hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&biw=1024&q=m+james+sawyer&btnG=Sea rch

Here is a book search on him:

Please let me know your Thoughts and Opinions.

Thank you!

I have read quite a few things by DR. Sawyer he sometimes (in my experience) makes good points and he knows about Church history and the split of the church the how when and why type of stuff. But on the whole I find that when it comes to certain things he uses the stereotypical Apologists mistakes I mention in the thread regarding such.

Now don't get me wrong DR. Sawyer is a nice enough guy I have had the opportunity to meet him (with the connections I have ) on more than one occasion. I have even sat in some of his classes but it doesn’t make him right. I will give him this though he doesn't lag on research he does check his sources.
