Teri and I were talking about this poem. She found it positive, as if it was saying "Screw You" to everyone.
I found that pretty cool and can now see how she saw it this way. It wasn't what I was thinking at the time. When I wrote it, I was feeling more like.... bittersweet. What I see in the mirror isn't at all how I feel, but I'm expected to act more like I look and less like I feel. Wrote another about that...but haven't posted it. Didn't like the way it came out.
Anyways...I find it interesting how we all read the samethings and come away with different takes.
