Once Pandit Nehru was delivering a speech to a select audience. Suddenly he
said, "the most beautiful moments of my life were those which I spent in
the shadow of love of somebody else's wife" and then he paused, there was a
pin drop silence in the hall. Then he asked the audience "would anyone of
you know who she was?" Still the silence continued, thereafter he himself
broke the silence,” she was my mother!" and the audience responded with a
thunderous applause
