New Day
I’m letting go my struggles
My fates cast to the wind
Kiss the cheek of freedom
Starting over once again
Sad times put behind me
Embracing all that’s new
Singing with the angels
As new paths I pursue
Watch a fresh sun rising
Gone are my yesterdays
They’ll fondly be remembered
But, today’s my day to play
I’m letting go my struggles
Not one tear will they find
For those that I hold close to me
Will ne’er be left behind
They’ll be forever with me
We’ll never be apart
Their memories sweet and haunting…
