Not sure how much you know about the Brewers/Admirals relationship but the Milw. Admirals were running on a trust fund set up by the last owners who passed away. The money was running out and the team eventually found a new ownership group led by a local Milwaukee businessman named Harris Turer. Part of this group is Brewers pitcher Ben Sheets!! The team also hired former Brewers media director (or something) to be team president. They are trading sponsorship deals. The Brewers show ads for the hockey team during baseball games and the Admirals have the Brewers patch on their jersey!
Oh, and the point of the oldschool logo on the jerseys is that the Brewers will be wearing the oldschool baseball jerseys on Sunday home games this year or something like that
