Hayley, I'm so sorry you're going through this. He doesn't realize what a loss on his part it is; you're a wonderful, smart, witty girl, with a big heart. Someday, some great guy will realize that. But like everyone said (especially loved Teri's analogy!), you're going to go through some crap to get to that point, and yes, each experience teaches you something new - usually the toughest life lessons are the ones that make you the strongest. At least you found all this out before you "gave yourself" to him, if you know what I mean. That would have been even more devastating! You're young, have fun with friends and enjoy your teen years; they go by so quickly! Remember, to appreciate the mountain top, you've got to get through the valleys.
