OK Jen, now this is what you should do tonight, or at the very latest tomarrow. Set out a box of tissues and a nice warm blanket in front of the TV. Then go to the video store and rent It's A Wonderful Life, staring Jimmy Stewart. Each time you touch a person's life, you have an effect on this world. I know that you have touched so very many lives with your high spirit and goodness. Never forget the people that you have helped by your kindness in nursing. You have mentioned a few of them on this board, you will never know the far reaching effects of your giving spirit.
When you drop a pebble into a pond, you will hear the splash, but the ripples will extend far beyond your sight.
Watch the movie, and know that that movie is about all of us, and what the world would be like, if we were not here to make a positive difference. Small things add up to a wonderful life. That was what that little old man was trying to tell you, and to wish you much happeness. Take it as his own little blessing to you.
