Just Sharing something shared with me...
I had this patient one time that had pneumonia, she was an elderly widow in her 80's who lived alone even though she did have grown children. She had a long list of chronic health problems. Upon her discharge I handed her 9 new perscriptions to have filled. She already had 9 that she had to take daily. Now this is 18 perscriptions she must keep organized and pay for.
She went through them and said.. I can fill this one and this one. The rest I can't afford. She is only ONE out hundreds of thousands in the same boat.
