Will.i.am is to produce the new U2 album - according to a blog spot made by Kanye West.
The "Love Lockdown" singer writes:
"Will.i.am is producing on U2's next album. I'm sure it will be dope as s*** judging from the crazy beats he's done in the past 3 years!".
The album has been delayed until 2009, but last month a chairman for Interscope-Geffen-A&M said the band were just 2 songs away from completing the record.
Another producer who has worked with U2 on the album is Brian Eno, while songs recorded with Rick Rubin were dropped.
