Hayley and GGG, it's an annual tournament for all the top college basketball teams in our country. It's called March Madness because there are so many games and crazy upsets that happen during it and it takes place during March. It lasts two weeks and starts out with 64 teams. Actually, it's 65 teams. Two teams have to play for the final playoff spot. There is complicated formula to make the tournament that includes strength of schedule, records, and all kinds of other weird statistics. A committee then picks all the teams for tournaments.

The games are broken down into four regions and are set up in *brackets* to show who's playing whom. Lots of people wager on the games as well. Most of the office pools are informal, but some can include some serious prize money. Technically they are illegal in most states, but everybody does it, LOL. You fill out your brackets by picking the teams you think you will win right down to the championship game, which is held on a Monday night.

You have to keep winning or you're out of the tournmament. It takes just one loss to get eliminated. The games are always very exciting because of their unpredictability. They are so much fun to watch.

Probably too much information here, but just thought I'd help, LOL...

NCAA = National Collegiate Athletic Association (I think, LOL).
