Re: Daily Bread

Audience Participation

I kept thinking about what makes a great concert besides great music. Why is it that some have millions flocking to see them, and others don't. What is the difference and what draws in the masses?

I sat on that question for a while and then the answer slowly manifested. I examined all the bands that were extremely popular in the past and present. I thought about Psy who has beyond 600,000,000 views on his video and the song is in another language.

What is it that makes some special? The answer is simple: Audience Participation

Its like hitting the concert lottery. We all want to win something, it is embedded into our being. We can't help it...We have to try even if the odds are 1 in a million. The PowerBall Lottery is several hundred million today! Somebody has to win it, right?

Audience participation is embedded into Psy's video. Watch it...he boards a train and there she is, and they dance, as the video plays other every day people he meets along the way are dancing with him. It is a concept that we all deeply relate to...UNITY. Something we all crave.

Luke Bryan...Huge audience participation at his shows. He calls males and females on stage with him one at a time, he picks them out himself as he sings and makes them feel "special" for just a moment and the crowd loves it...They go crazy.

"Make Me Feel Special"

This quote from George Cummings, says it all.

"Every person you meet in life has a flashing sign on their chest. It says, 'Make me feel special'."

There is no greater thing that we can do in each human interaction than to make the other person feel special.

Now, this is not done by phony and insincere words, but by creating a feeling of "acceptance" in the other person.

Of course I can name others...they will just start coming forth daily to whoever reads this because I have opened your eyes to this concept. Just make room for the multiple demonstrations to pour forth in abundance. They will.

“Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, "Make me feel important." Not only will you succeed in sales, you will succeed in life.” ― Mary Kay Ash (CEO of Mary Kay Cosmetics)

I'm thankful for the answer to my question. ;-) God's sweet blessings to you ...the reader.
