How Do You Deal

Time’s growing short
On this merry-go-round
Questions were asked
Answers were found
Sentence was passed
On a life once lived
From cradle to grave
It’s all relative

And all that was said…
“You’re a tough old bird
You’ll deal somehow”…
These words were absurd
No love or caring
Chilled to the bone
How do you deal
When you feel so alone

Unless someone’s walked
In the shoes that you wear
They can’t understand
Your strengths or your fears
All they say is “sorry”
So you just carry on…
Head held up high
‘Til one day you’re gone
