Marcus I'm not saying kids need to be kept in a bubble. I'm saying that parents need to monitor their children at certain levels depending upon their age. A 16 year old can most likely handle MTV but not a 10 year old. We all know kids are going to experience things on their own at school, with friends, etc. but that doesn't mean that I should go and buy my children a porno magazine to prepare them for the real world. I'm saying that at certain ages children should not be encouraged to watch sex and violence on television. If at home a parent enforces a rule not to watch MTV, the child will have a stronger basis than if the parent doesn't care. It's all about parental involvement which is what the USA lacks nowadays. Parents expect the TV to be the babysitter.
