Blind Faith
Would that I had seen the signs
Of waning interest repeating lines
Didn’t care to look your way
Blind I turned so silent stayed
River of tears soaked you through
A callous heart revealed to you
Struck you down, breath it stole
Left you drained and turned you cold
Birthday passed a thoughtless gift
Given to mend a growing rift
Nonchalant she let you fall
Thunder clapping hit the wall
Medicated mind you craved
Fed desire long depraved
Self-inflicted wound you drew
Indifference wasn’t lost on you
Would that I had seen the signs
Of waning interest tired eyes
Didn’t care to look your way
Forever now am bound to pay
