BIG NEWS! Kid Rock to speak about sex tape

i just found out that kid rock will be on the mancow morning show tomorrow morning (march 1st) to talk about the rock/stapp sex tape.

click here to find out what station mancow is broadcasted on in your area.
or click here for mancow's homepage.

on yesterday's show, they said kid rock would be coming but didn't say when. today he confirmed that it would be tomorrow and why it was a big deal. he of course said that a kid rock sex tape would be no big surprise given the way he's presented himself, but a scott stapp sex tape is a big deal. (he also said that stapp turned down invites for an interview.) they made fun of stapp a bit because of "the jesus pose" and even once referring to stapp as "jesus morrison." mancow also said that he respects stapp, but always speaks his mind.

anyway, so tune in. hopefully we'll get some useful information.

Re: BIG NEWS! Kid Rock to speak about sex tape

Kid was on Howard Stern today talking about the sex tape amongst other things - he said that he was "in the trailer getting blown by 4 girls and then stapp walks in with a camera and is like 'hey can i join in?' So I said what the hell, take your pants off and have fun". He also says that he's never seen the tape and that it has been in stapps possession all along - he still doesn't know how it got out. That was pretty much all he had to say about the tape..

Sorry if the language above is a bit colorful - just relaying Kid's words. If a mod deems it inappropriate feel free to edit it. Thanks ;)

Kid Rock: Stapp 'idiot' for losing tape

Eric Carlson
Associated Press Writer
March 2, 2006 4:10 PM

NEW YORK - Kid Rock blames Scott Stapp for losing a sex video showing them with several strippers, but appreciates Stapp for one thing. "What perfect timing," Rock told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday. "I got a record coming up ... Maybe I should thank him."

The hard-partying rap-rocker, whose new live concert album "Live Trucker" hit stores Tuesday, defended his backstage antics, saying, "It's not any big revelation that this goes on in rock 'n' roll, especially with who I am."

Still, Rock (aka Robert Ritchie) has fired back against Stapp's claim that the tape was stolen, saying the former Creed singer filmed the tape, which was made in Rock's motor home in 1999, and is responsible for losing it.

"He's the idiot because it's out," the 35-year-old Rock said. "I'm holding him responsible."

Rock has won a temporary court order preventing World Wide Red Light District from distributing or promoting the video.

Red Light, which sold the Paris Hilton sex tape in 2004, had displayed a 40-second preview clip of the video on its Web site. The company has acknowledged that the tape came from a third party, but denied it was stolen.

"At this point, I don't even care," said Rock, who said he hasn't spoken to Stapp since the tape was filmed.

He's upset, though, that someone might make money from the tape. "If there's money to be made, it's my performance" he said.

In a recent interview with AP Radio, Stapp, 32, said he thinks the sex video was stolen from him and is meant to destroy his career.

Rock scoffed at that notion: "I'm like, what are you talking about? This tape gets out - it's your tape - and you're (saying) someone's trying to sabotage your career?"

Rock said he invited Stapp to join him and four strippers after Stapp entered his motor home with a video camera and asked to "get in" on the action.

"'I only got two beers left,'" Rock said, describing what he deemed to be his gracious behavior toward Stapp, whom he had never met. "'You can have one.' How nice is that?"

He said he's further upset to be associated with sex tape scandal subjects Hilton, Colin Farrell and ex-girlfriend Pamela Anderson.

"I don't want to be in that company with all these idiots (who have) sex tapes, which is why I've never had a video camera," he said. "I agree I knew the tape was going on at the time - I must have. Although, I'll guarantee you, I wasn't sober."

From E!Online(http://entertainment.tv.yahoo.com/en...35888000.html), apparent "Stapp-bashers":

---------------------------------
"Someone" Out to Get Stapp

Thu Mar 02, 8:08 PM ET

Scott Stapp doesn't think too highly of "someone."

The Associated Press released quotes Wednesday from an AP Radio interview in which the former Creed singer accuses "someone" of being behind the recent release of a sex tape.

"Obviously, someone wants to hurt me, and doesn't want me to be successful in my solo career," Stapp told AP Radio.

"Someone" could not be located for comment.

Kid Rock, who is seen along with Stapp in the sex tape entertaining female fans in a tour bus, was located for comment. He told AP that Stapp was "an idiot."

"The tape gets out--it's your tape--and you're [saying] someone's trying to sabotage your career?" Rock complained to the AP.

The solo career that the 32-year-old Stapp sees as being plundered by "someone" began in earnest with last November's release of The Great Divide. Whereas Creed moved tens of millions of CDs during its 1990s heyday, Stapp saw only 94,000 copies of The Great Divide ring up sales in its first week. It was not known if Stapp explained to AP Radio how, or if, "someone" put the kibosh on the album.

What rankled Rock was Stapp's theory on how the X-rated Internet home of the Paris Hilton vehicle, 1 Night in Paris, came into possession of a 1999 tape featuring him and Kid in the company of women, also known as "strippers," per the AP. According to Stapp: "Someone" stole it from him.

Red Light District, the self-described leader in the field of "hardcore gonzo video," has denied the footage was of the purloined variety. Rock, for one, has said he doesn't care how the company got the tape.

"[Stapp] is the idiot because it's out," Rock said, per AP. "I'm holding him responsible."

In court, however, Rock is battling Red Light District. On Feb. 21, he won a preliminary injunction barring the company from posting the tape on its sites, ScottStappSexTape.com and KidRockSexTape.com.

While Rock is mad--he says he never dabbles in homemade movies--Stapp is full of regret. If the "artist who's a Christian," as Stapp once identified himself, had to do it all over again, he told AP Radio, he would have "burned that tape."

But Stapp didn't destroy the footage--filmed when he was between marriages, he pointed out--because an evening spent entertaining female fans also known as strippers is something for the scrapbook.

"You think it's part of your rock 'n' roll memories," Stapp said, per the AP.

Of late, Stapp has been making new rock 'n' roll memories at a quick clip. Last December, the New York Daily News reported that an "apparently intoxicated" Stapp acted boorish during the taping of Spike TV's Casino Cinema. On Feb. 10, an "antagonistic" and newly married Stapp was stopped from boarding a Los Angeles flight to Hawaii, and arrested on suspicion of being drunk in a public place. There was no mention of "someone" being involved in either incident.

Stapp is due to be arraigned on the public intoxication charge next week.

Amid this drama, Stapp is on tour. And although he's not attempting to play arenas, he's having trouble selling tickets at smaller venues. At least that was how the Orlando Sentinel described the state of things at Stapp's Feb. 23 kick-off date at the Hard Rock Live in the singer's native Orlando, Florida.

The "hometown showcase...didn't draw enough fans to warrant opening the hall's upstairs balcony," Sentinel pop music critic Jim Abbott wrote.

Far from being downcast by the sex tape scandal, the struggling album, the upcoming court date, the machinations of "someone" or the bandaged right wrist that an insider told the newspaper was dinged up in a surfing excursion, Stapp was "chatty" with his audience, the Sentinel reported.

"I need this so bad," Stapp said, according to the newspaper.

Stapp is due back on the stage Thursday in Hartford, Connecticut.

That is, unless "someone" has other ideas.

After reading that whole article, I've begun to hate e!online even more. At least TRY to be unbiased when reporting news.

Heres another positive one from The Washington Post

Open Arms for Scott Stapp

Thursday, March 2, 2006; C04

Let's get the jokes out of the way now: Tuesday at the 9:30 club, it was difficult to listen to headliner Scott Stapp, former frontman/whipping boy of Creed, sing "My Own Prison" without tittering about his recent arrest for public intoxication. Or hear the line "I'll show you everything!" from Creed's megahit "With Arms Wide Open" without being reminded of the snippets of a sex tape involving Stapp, Kid Rock and a bunch of women that conveniently began buzzing about the Internet just before Stapp kicked off his tour.

But whatever demons the often-maligned singer has been battling, Stapp, who's reportedly traveling with a sobriety coach, put on a great show. During the 80-minute set, his energy was high, his guttural -- er, distinctive -- voice strong, and his unacknowledged four-piece backing band sharp.

Stapp performed mostly songs off his first solo album, "The Great Divide," but singles from his former rock supergroup were also trotted out without remark. (To ensure no one thought this was Creed Redux, giant letters spelling SCOTT STAPP decorated the stage's back wall.) He did a lot of quasi-sermonizing between the driving, if similar-sounding, songs, and his arms and those of fervent audience members were often raised to the heavens during Stapp's favored lyrics about spirituality and redemption.

Stapp admitted that he wasn't sure how he'd be received during this tour, and regardless of one's beliefs or opinion of the guy, the expression of sheer joy on his face when the crowd showed him some love was uplifting. Stapp closed with a passionate performance of "Justify," whose chorus of "I do not have to justify the way I life my life" left one hoping he'll no longer need to.

See, their reporters. Their work is to write things like this down so we can read 'em. And Stapp has been in a lot of trouble, well... Ever since the Chicago show. (If not even before that).

And what's the big deal with E! Online? I thought their article was hillarious!

Oh, and another thing... Your signature: "Stapp sober since Feb 12". You might wanna come up with another one...

If it wasn't stolen,...then how would it have gotten out if Stapp had possession of it? I know he would not have "intentionally" let it get out. This goes back to when Jeff Hanson and Tremonti and Co. claimed that they had enough on Stapp to "end his career". I think this is one of those things and someone stole it from Stapp for that sole purpose. Too bad it won't be enough to halt his career. I don't think anything they have will hurt him in the long run. It just goes to show what kind of assholes are out there and what they are willing to do to hurt someone. I feel it's a VERY low blow under any circumstance.

Lithium, dude if u think the E article was hilarious ur on the wrong site, go find a hater site.

THanks for letting me kno what a reporter does, I guess i didnt realize after i commented on what they were doing, and where were they when he was donating money and doing all the positive things.

And why do i need a new sig? I wouldn't find it surprising if the only only friends u had were in ur head as well.

My problem with it is that the article appears to seek to do one thing: bash Stapp. Not unbiasedly report the news...just bash Stapp. I have a problem with people trying to kick a guy when he's down, no matter if that guy is Stapp or Mark Tremonti or Myles Kennedy or Bono etc. When I read the news from sites like Yahoo and E!, I expect a lot more maturity than that displayed in the article.

I don't mind humor and jokes....so long as they are done in a tasteful manner. I think that article crossed the line.

Alright, that's a pretty good one, but it's very low, so I'll just leave it there. While we're still talking on a decent level.

Well, can you blame him? The guy have made a sex tape, and this far... He has done nothing but MORE mistakes since The Great Divide came out.
