why didn't I know
a tender heart in bloom
lost in a violent world
what are you looking for?

innocence you won't find it here
in your rage you run wild
but this is not your home
so what are you looking for?

you're trying to find a place to belong
but you don't know who you are anymore
rebelling, searching
knocking at wrong doors

your tenderness won't last here
in the realm of the hard
your spirit will find the answer
if you remember the child inside as your guide
