My reflection
 

I looked at myself in the mirror today.
I looked deeply into the reflection in my eyes.
I was looking at me from the inside.
I was looking to find that little girl I knows inside.
I was looking to find who I really am.
not what I appear to be on the outside.
I looked again in my eyes and only saw,
the pain that still lingers inside.
I always push those feelings out of sight,
afraid that I might reveal all the things I keep locked up inside.
so I keep them hide in my deep dark place,
where only the shadows know what I really feel,
and when I will heal.
sometimes I wish I could just swallo my pride,
but i will never,I'll die first before I let go of it.
for my pride is all i have left.
This cleft you have put in my heart goes deeper than before.
and hurts even more every passing day.
my emotions like to fool people everyone thinks I'm fine,
I know I will be in time but right now fine is on the other side,
of the world compared to what I feel.
So once again I look within my reflection
but still only saw hurt.
everyday I will look into my reflection and search for happiness.
But for now all i see is that little girl inside lost and alone.
