Union Underground???

Does anyone know if these guys are still together? Last I heard, they were working on a new cd due out in 2003 but the website has old news and I tried to find message boards for them, but couldn't find one that is still active. I loved their first cd and was looking forward to more. Anyone know anything???

As far as I know the guys are still together. They came to Corpus Christie 2 months ago, that's how I still know. I believe they are still working on their next album, so we should hear from them in the summer or close to the end of this year.

They're a band out of San Antonio, Texas. They are absolutely awesome! Hope you like them! :D

Thanks for asking this question which I've been meaning to do. I really enjoy their debut cd, and thought they were one of the most promising groups for hard rock/heavy metal.

Does anyone know if they have had some kind of legal trouble or something? I mean it's been about 4 years now since the cd came out.

Well I found something interesting when I did a google search for current news on the Union Underground. Their guitarist Patrick Kennison apparently quit due to musical differences and inactivity of the band; however it says nothing of the band breaking up. They must have replaced him with someone else when they came to Corpus.

Thanks, I didn't know that either. I guess I'll have to google some more and see what I find too.

Thanks for the info!

That's 2 members who have left then, doesn't look good. Bassist John Moyer has recently been accepted as the new bass player for Disturbed, which is awesome but, I hope UU isn't gone as a group.

PaulMcCoygirl 05-05-2004 05:10 PM

Yeah I received an e-mail about that two days ago. I hope UU doens't break up either, they are such a good band that I would love to see live.
