Paying for your “crime”
The fire is lit…the reeds are set
Torture is the sign
Taken as a warning
For all around to see
One mis-step…they could be next…
Victims of this debauchery

Inside the heat is rising…
As the fire is fed…
Your cries of pain…a death song
All know what lies ahead
No signs of compassion
Upon their heads…no stain…
To them you’re not worth saving
It’s your faith you have to blame…

In the bull’s belly
Because of your beliefs…
Above your God is waiting
Gone the earthly grief
For now you have transcended
The petty laws of man
Once more answering the call
Of divine command…
